What is Dental Anesthesia?
Anesthesia is a compassionate tool to overcome barriers to receiving needed treatment.
It can be provided comfortably and conveniently in a dental office.
Horace Wells, a dentist, was the first provider of what we consider modern anesthesia. Dentists have been providers of anesthesia in the subsequent 170 years. As technology, medical knowledge, and pharmacology has advanced, dentist anesthesiologists have been refining the techniques of mobile anesthesia. Dr. Carsten is a graduate of an ADA/CODA accredited program, having received extensive training in general anesthesia, local anesthesia, and sedation. Rather than requiring a hospital OR, your office can provide access for disabled patients, very young patients, fearful patients, and many other patients that want or need anesthesia while having their dental treatment completed.
