Dr. Dave Carsten

A health care provider for over 30 years.
Empathy became the essential thread to his practice.
In 2010 he completed a residency in anesthesiology.
Being an anesthesiologist and a dentist sets Dr. Carsten apart from other anesthesia and or sedation providers who do not have his level of training, certification and over 28 years of experience. Dr. Carsten received his DDS from University of Washington, School of Dentistry. After 24 years of dental practice, 13 years as faculty at Oregon Health Sciences University, and 3 years at the University of Southern California, he decided to enter the anesthesia program at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He provided anesthesia services for all types of patients and procedures in the hospital and in outpatient settings. Now he provides mobile anesthesia, going from office to office, setting up a mini OR in each office. Emptiness

The logo of Pacific Dental Anesthesia. Come "empty" having a beginners mind. Be an expert without the bad habits and preconceptions of the expert.
As Shunryu Suzuki said,
"The beginners mind is empty, free of the habits of the expert, ready to accept, doubt, and open to all the possibilities."
